PATRICE ANTUNEZ
INTERDISCIPLINARY ARTIST

ARTIST STATEMENT
I think of my work as a diary of my life—each piece is a moment trapped in the past, trying to make sense of the present. These fragments of time serve as tangible proof of my existence. My process emerges from feelings of invisibility, using art as a physical journal entry to grapple with questions of importance and mortality. I draw on memory, vulgar yet subtle imagery, and absurdity as ways to both understand and escape the everyday. Through this process, I search for meaning in the fleeting and forgotten, finding traces of myself in what remains.
